Why are there so many inconsistencies in the bible?

Lets deal with number 1. If no one told you, how long would you think it would take you to figure out that big fiery thing in the sky was giving the light. I bet if I posed this as a question on YA you atheists would say not very long. So would I. And yet the writer of the Bible still said light came first. Light as we know it is electromagnetic radiation that is visible to the human eye. Couldn't a God create electromagnetic radiation first and then a source for it later.
